SUMMARY of year 2007

Lots of ups n downs this yr.

Had both joy n sadness, n I guess it was more of a joy.

I realise, friends come and go. Lost some friends and gain a few new ones.
All we have to do is to treasure the people around us, i believe that's the most important this.

A busy and stress year, full of projects and 'events', one after another.

I enjoy this year onli at the begining part, the ending part was packed with stuff, there r both happy n unhappy.

LOL. i saw stanley on msn today.

Stan: hey, there's no skol today?

Joanne: yup. no skol, it's online.

=D, stanley went to skol today when there was no lesson.

A msg from Lionel told me something funny, that made me laugh.

Lionel: I tell u something funny. Ur classmate Stanley came to skol today. He msg me n ask if there's skol today. I told him yes as I have. He msg me back telling me that he is in class but there wasn't any tutor or frens in class.

LOL! the class that we're suppose to have in the morning was made online n the blur stanley didn't noe...

It has been a long time since we have met ever since that eventful of stuff happened. Met mich, eli, ben, drea for lunch today. Lunch was SUPER filling.

Ya, after that darlin drea n I went to shop at Great World as from eli n mich there're nice clothes in Zara. Headed there and yup, true enuff we bought some stuff. Ok, after that was BACK home fr PROJECT before countdown party later.

checked out of maritus madarin n went to help my aunt out in her work with cousee.

came home n did a bit of project work.

rushed to work at 5.30, i was late. HAHA

It was fun at work, had laughter but tired soon after a while.

I spilled milk on the floor, n screamed a little while at work as i almost fell a few times due to the slippery floor. Ya, n i almost broke a rock glass, luckily the bread basket was there.

Thanx to my dear cousin who came to pick me up from work after a tiring day.

All of us woke up at 7am to prepare ourselves n off to the bride's place. =D a false horn was given to shock her that the groom has arrive. Relatives all came out to haf a look.

Gatecrashing was FUN. The sisters which include Me, Jessie(cousin), Yvonne(cousin) n Jacquelin(sis), played games with the groom before allowing him to enter the house to c his bride. Games include drinking of vege juice(bitter guard,lemon...), nipple sticker for the groom's bro to paste at the specified bodyparts tat they had choosen n the groom to take the sticker off with his lips, plucking of leg hair to form a heart shape. The groom entered the house after giving the sisters a 388 hongbao.

After entering, he tried to bang open the room door. I was squashed! Luckily my other cousins n aunty was at the back door blocking n preventing him to open the door as he had to sing her a song before he was allowed to. His singing was beautiful. LOL! there's still the techno version of tonghua as he was too anxious to s the bride (I guess so).Photo-taking time.

Off to the groom's place. Where the bride changed to her traditional costume for the tea ceremony n stuff... Buffet we had. YUMMY!

Back to bride's place for tea ceremony. WOW, her elder sister (Serene) bought them a pair of air tickets to taiwan, bro (Mark) a red packet each n sis (Rex) armani exchange couple watch. =) Fortunate ger there.

All back home to change n prepare for the dinner at Meritus Madarine Orchard. A room was booked beside the bride n groom's room for the sisters. Our room no. was 2225 n 2226. =D

went for dress hunting... bought a dress when shopping wif couseee REX, Stefx and the two little imp.

We ran into pretty angel and pipagao. it's lyk OMG, we were shocked cox we jux ran into pretty angel at taka yesterday! COINCIDENTAL?

All had dinner together as we were hungry, dinner not taken yet...

Cousee called up Sakae at 9.00pm to try and make a reservation but they dun take last min ones. So we had no choice to rush to borders for Sakae before their last order at 9.30pm.

Cousee is still hungry, she needs desserts. =)

Headed to Swensens, NYDC and a few others at cine but all were packed wif ppl, we couldn't get a sit for 7. No choice next was Coffe Club.

It's a public holiday!

Project took up my time in the morning
Shopping was from afternoon till evening
Steamboat was for dinner
Before bedtime was the distribution of presents!

CHRITMAS EVE

Arrive home at bout 5pm, had a little rest and did a bit of laundry. Yvonne and I wrapped those little Christmas presents we bought for of family members while 4th uncle cooked Japanese cold noodles for us. I watched abit of TV after that and played Monopoly with the small gers till bout 10pm.

I'm suppose to meet Andrea, Kejun and Donald in town. OMG it was so crowded! I had dunkin donuts in my hands and had to avoid being spray at. Alighted at Lucky Plaza, suppose to meet at the back of Orchard Mrt. I made so many detour just to get there, perspiring.

We met up! FINALLY. we had problems deciding where to go. I'm always made to decide but luckily i was let off. HAHA. Cine was the place. HongKong Cafe was the place. My favourite Mango Icekachang was the one!

Left at 1am cox i had a curfew to abide by.

0300-Preparations to set off

0400-Got into a transport (mini van) to bring us to Senai Airport (JB), Journey was bout 2 hrs

0600-Arrive at the airport, checked in, breakfast

0730-Into the plane and set off (2hr15min journey)

1000-Arrive at Senai Airport

1130-Set off to Mt Kinabalu park (2-3hrs journey)


1430-Arrive at Mt Kinabalu park HQ, checked into room 1 which has 6 beds for 5 of us


1600-11 of us went to walk around the park while Ken n Jacq was sleeping
1715-Back to the park for briefing for the following day

1745-Dinner time

1830-Walk back to our rooms ( by this time the sky was pitched dark lyk 9pm in s'pore

1845-Back in room and packing of bags, ready for the climb with clothes to be packed into put own backpack and the rest into the porter's bag

2000-BED TIME

DAY 2 [20thDecember07]

0600-GOOD MORNING, breakfast

0715-Met at Mt Kinabalu park HQ to consolidate all our luggage

0745-Set off to Masilau Trail, the start point to the SUBMIT 0830-Off to the accommodation hut which is 6km away

1530 Arrive at the Restaurant for a hot cup of milo and dinner (9.8 Degree Celsius outside)[all of us were freezing cold as we were drenched from the rain which started when we were at the 4.5km mark]

1630-Reached our accomodation place which is a few hundred metres from the Restaurant

1700-Bath ( and again water was very COLD!)

1800-Briefing for things to bring to the SUBMIT

1930-BED TIME

DAY 3 [21stDecember07]

0200-GOOD MORNING (breakfast was cornflakes)

0245-Set off to start point of SUBMIT

0300- START ( I had 7 layers on for the top, 3 layers for pants, 2 gloves, 2 socks, 1 head torch)

7 tops: Thermal, Dry-Fit,White T-shirt,Black Polo,Black Knitted Sweater,Fleece, Windbreaker

3 pants: Thermal, Cotton pants, Track Pants

[We started tracking in the dark, the nite sky was very beautiful, nothing was obstructing the view of the sky FULL of twinkle little stars. BEAUTIFUL sight. At rest points, we lay on the rocks and enjoy the view while catching our breaths]

0630-We SUBMITTED (It took us 3hr30mins to do so =))

[Photo taking session went on! All of us in the group manage to reach the Low's Peak even though manytimes a few of us wanted to give up]

0700-Slowly we went down back to our hut

[I was too afraid, guess i'm afraid of heights. Luckily porter John was there beside me. He held myhands all the way down whenever i needed help, when he thinks it's okie for me to walk myself, he'll let go. I wanna realli say a BIG THANK YOU to him! Uncle Sam helped alot too, he guided the 3 gers all the way up the peak and down, he led me thru the put which i was so afraid, the rocks were 45 degrees and ropes to hang on to to come down. One can practically fall off the rocks if not held or stepped properly]

0930-We were the first 4 to reach back to the hut. ( ME, Yvonne, Jacqueline, Uncle Sam)

1000-OFF TO BED. [Too tired]

1630-All of us woke up. Tired and Hungry.

[The 5 youngsters (Me, Kenny, Yvonne, Jacqueline, Cassandra) had photo taking session in the gers room. We chilled with music and jokes. We practically really LOL. Haven't had this kind of fun and laughter for a long time already. We waited and waited for our dinner which Tian Hui will buy becuase it was raining and we were too cold n lazy to go down to the Restaurant. SIS was being made fun of bout him. Haha.]

1900-DINNER TIME

[Tian Hui's back and all of us have our pack of noodles. Chillie was at the cover of the box]

SIS: I dun wanna eat alrdy, the chillie turn me off.

KEN: haha. The chillie turn you off? Than wad turn you on?

[LOL, from then, the coverstion was more bout turning off and on. But still we had our music on, sing along session and vendalism by Yvonne on the door with writtings of our names to indicate that we were there at the Gunting Hut Room 3]

2030-BED TIME

DAY 4 [22ndDecember07]

0600-GOOD MORNING

0700-Set off to the restaurant which is 6km to have breakfast. We had instant noodles for breakfast

0810-Off to the base

1210-We reach our destination in 4 hours or less which is considered fast. =) Waited for the transport to fetch us back to the Park HQ which is about 45 mins away.

1315-Had lunch at the restaurant near the Park HQ, after that was ice-cream for dessert despite the cold weather. Presentation of the 2 certificates for the successful climd to the peak.

1700-Arrive at Kota Kinabalu town after 3 hr plus of ride. Check into cityparklodge. The 3 gers had a room to ourselves with 3 beds-unique.

1845-Met the whole group for dinner at the nearest shopping centre for dinner ans SHOPPING which is after slacking in the room n bath. It was a few days since we manage to haf a warm shower.

1930-Uncle Sam n the family of us had dinner at Secret Recipe. YUMYUM. After dinner the 3 guys and gers seperated for out idividual shopping

2130-We met back at this time to go to the wet market to take a look, there's the 'Phillipine market' too with loads of seafood.

2215-Briefing, back to room to watch HBO and NITE for the day

DAY 5 [23rdDecember07]*

pre-CHRISTMAS celebration wif T05

Today's a busy day, had so many stuff to do before i leave for the trek at Mt Kinabalu.

First thing in the morning was to have my passport photo done up as the photo in my passport was one that i took when i was in primary 5 or 6 i tink. Who knows when i got to the ICA building, i checked out wif the counter how many workings days does it take for them to process it and to be ready for collection, she said they r no longer doing the changing of passport photos as the new biometric passport is out and i have to make a new one. The thing is i have no time for a new one to be done, so no choice will c how it goes at the immigration checkpoint.

Second thing of the day was to rush to skol for project meeting. Meeting of MAF project.

Almost done, bout to complete. We had fun and laughter during discussion. At least we manage to get a few questions done up. Eugene joined us after tat n discussion was hard to carry on. Guys were all into games (eg weixiong,jason,eugene), but at least it was the end of the meeting.

All of us headed to the bbq at ann's place. Before that was the hunting of cheaper bottled drinks as those sold there were quite expensive. Kahlong almost slipped when i went to purchase the drinks with him. We met Yeelin at the bus-stop. We were opposite, and at the over-head bridge, Kahlong shouted for Yeelin's name, so loudly that everyone at the bus-stop looked.

At the bbq pit, it was food, games, laughter. We played hunter and the bear. SUPER fun! Almost evryone was accussed of being the bear. ShiHui is a good 'hider'. She manage to trick allof us into accussing the others. As for Izz, he kept forgeting to allow the two bears to select a victim to kill and there was a wasted day where the rest of the people call it an uneventful day.

It was a sad thing that i had to leave early to head home for the last min packing. We had gift exchange before i left n guess wad, there were stuff lyk condoms and G-string. Jorim is sooooo lucky to haf picked the G-string, all of us LAUGHED! So nice of Rufford and Jazreel to send me to the bus-stop. =)

It was a fully pack day, shine and rain. But it did not dampened our mood.
